Feel the Nature

Get lost in the jungle that JJR guys have maintained with their brilliant efforts from past almost 15 years. You will fell in love with the serene beauty of the lush green surrounding in which you can hear very clear sound of birds around. Animals like Jackals, Deers and even Elephant can be easily spotted inside the resort, plus you can also see a lot of natural flora, fauna and organic grown fruits/vegetables by the resort. Just keep your camera ready every moment to capture all those wonderful antics of the nature.

Bird & Animal Watch

Bird watching can be really awesome here. You can see a variety of colourful birds everywhere. If you are a bird lover and really want to explore birds then this place would be a heaven for you. Wild animals like jackals, deers, wild buffalos, long tailed langoors can be easily spotted inside the property. If you are lucky then you might see a elephant near your lodge/cottage enjoying his lunch. Jims Jungle Retreat also claims that there was also a Tiger and a Leopard spotted and captured in their camera inside the property’s fencing….:)

Bicycle Trip to Village

In the morning, get bicycles from them and pedal up to the beautiful streets of the Dhela Village. The roads are very nice and easy for all type of pedallers. Bike through the Dhela village and head towards the rainy rivers on the main road. You can cross the rivers too if water flow is weaker, but if the flow is high it is not recommended to cross it. Interact with village people and explore the variety of fruits, vegetables, staples they grow in their farms.

Elephant Ride in the Forest

Don’t miss this elephant ride! Ask JJR guys to arrange one for you. It will be dedicated elephant ride for you. In peak season it might cost you Rs. 5500/- for 2 persons(2 hours) and in off season it will cost you around Rs. 3500/- for 2 persons (1 hour). Experiencing forest on a elephant will be a memorable event for you when he will take you down from a huge sloppy mountain to Ramganga River and also will take you inside the forest by crossing Ramganga River for a Jungle Safari. Chances of spotting a tiger are more on an Elephant Safari.

Corbett Tiger Safari

Best Season to visit the Complete Corbett National Park is October 15 to June 30 because during the monsoon season the flood of the River breaks down the road and cut their links.Although Jhirna Zone is open throughout the year but monsoon in Uttrakhand is unpredictable and forest authorities can deny entry anytime if the weather is unfavourable. You can book a Jeep Safari online or you can ask JJR guys to arrange a safari for you. JJR has very friendly staff who can escort you in the safari on their own Jeeps, If you are lucky then you will definitely see a “Big Cat”. Stories from past guests on their reception board tells their experiences on the Safaris.
